Looking forward to RTR!

RTR being the “Rubber Tramp Rendezvous.”

I have an apartment that I share with my daughter in the Greater Vancouver Area but when my feet get itchy I just have to wander. Am I my father’s daughter or what? (Those who knew my “Dedy” know he liked to wander, too.)

My theory is the wandering comes from Indigenous blood on my dad’s side and gypsy blood on my mom’s. The latter is family legend and I have not yet proven that part of my heritage, but for now that’s as good an excuse as any.

Anyway…

I travel in my van, which I’ve set up with a warm, comfy bed, food, clothes, etc. And, being a “van dweller” for much of the time, I have long wanted to attend RTR. I tried to go last year but was caught in a blizzard in Arizona (so close!) and had to turn around and head back.

Rubber Tramp Rendezvous is an opportunity for travellers to get together and socialize, compare travel modes (small cars to large motorhomes), and share ideas for places to see, how to better set up your living space, where to “boondock” and how to “stealth” park with no hassle.

Happy travels!
